Texas-based auto insurer Sigo Seguros has opened its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to major AI agents including ChatGPT, Grok, and Muse, allowing drivers to obtain quotes and purchase policies directly through those platforms without switching applications, the company announced October 1.
The move marks a notable shift in insurance distribution strategy, positioning Sigo among a small group of insurers embracing AI-native commerce while competitors have reportedly moved to block AI agents from accessing their systems.
